New Delhi, Homeless Population Suffers because of Cold Wave

New Delhi is experiencing the cold wave from past few days. the most affected by this cold wave is the people who are sleeping on pavements under flyovers and roadsides. after media reported the situation through which this homeless are going through. 

Nishant Kumar Yadav, the Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram, stating that "no identification cards are required to seek night shelter," highlights the disconnect between bureaucrats and the harsh realities on the ground. Winter already slows down life, and it exacerbates the notorious sluggishness of the Indian bureaucracy.

The Gurugram administration is a repeat offender, a title that could have easily been assigned to Delhi's cold a decade ago. While winters are not harsh every year, the administration's response consistently is. This was also the case last year.
