Prices of petrol and diesel were increased once again on Tuesday, May 19, in less than a week by around 90 paise per litre. After the hike, petrol prices in Delhi rose to Rs 98.64 per litre from Rs 97.77 earlier, while diesel rates rose to Rs 91.58 per litre from Rs 90.67.

This revision of fuel prices comes after it was raised by Rs 3 per litre on Friday amid the West Asia crisis, dimming the supply from the Middle East due to disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz.
