Punjab and Haryana High Court restricts functioning

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday restricted its functioning to urgent cases till March 31 in view of the coronavirus scare.

Chandigarh, March 16 The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday restricted its functioning to urgent cases till March 31 in view of the coronavirus scare.

Now, anticipatory bail pleas, protection issues and habeas corpus pleas would be entertained, a high court official said.

Earlier, the executive committee of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association unanimously decided that work would remain suspended till further orders.
