"The Supreme Court also said there is no need to file FIR in this case because we found no substance. It also said the material provided to it has no further substance in it. So they have totally dismissed the review petition which had challenged the purchase of 36 Rafale jets costing around Rs 58,000 crore," Agarwal told .

On the other petition filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Rafale case, he said, the apex court disposed of the matter.

He said, "In the plea which runs into several pages, the apex court said he should be more careful and cautious in future being a political person. The court said Rahul Gandhi should not have said (his Rafale allegations) without verification. The court did not pass any punitive order and only some guidelines and suggestions have been given to Rahul Gandhi," Agarwal added.

The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a review petition seeking a probe into the Rafale deal.

Justice S.K. Kaul while reading the judgement said that the review petition is without merit.

The top court also dismissed a plea seeking to lodge an FIR to probe the Rafale deal inked with Dassault Aviation.

The court also closed contempt proceedings initiated against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that being an important political person, Rahul must remain more careful in future.

A contempt proceeding was initiated against Rahul Gandhi for his remark "Chowkidar Chor Hai", and had attributed it to the Supreme Court.

A bench of Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and Justices S.K. Kaul and K.M. Joseph said that Rahul Gandhi, being a person holding a place of importance in the political spectrum, should have been more careful before attributing to the top court certain things which were not part of the order.
