Telangana: Police official injured in gun misfire by trainee

A gun misfire by a trainee was reported at Telangana State Police Academy in which a Reserve Inspector (RI) sustained a leg injury.

A gun misfire by a trainee was reported at Telangana State Police Academy in which a Reserve Inspector (RI) sustained a leg injury.

Venkateshwar Rao, DCP, Madhapur, told over the phone: "Inquiry is going on as to how the misfire took place, details will be revealed on completion of it."

"The RI has been shifted to a nearby private hospital for treatment," he added.
