He said that the situation is absolutely normal in all the places.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb also appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony in view of the Supreme Court verdict in Ayodhya's Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case.

Welcoming the apex court judgement, Deb, who is also the President of the Tripura unit of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, said that the historic Judgement would further strengthen India's social fabric.

According to a senior police official in Aizawl, the situation in Mizoram is fairly normal and peaceful. Four Indian northeastern states of Tripura (856 km), Meghalaya (443 km), Mizoram (318 km) and Assam (263 km) share an 1,880-km border with Bangladesh.

After seven decades of a protracted legal battle, the Supreme Court on Saturday pronounced the judgment in Ayodhya title dispute case and asked the central government to give the disputed land in Ayodhya to the Hindus for a temple and five acres of alternate land to the Muslims for a mosque.
