Uddhav Thackeray: Gyms, theatres, swimming pools to be shut in six cities in Maharashtra

The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic was confirmed to have spread to India on 30 January 2020 from China. There have since been 80 confirmed cases in the country, with many of them having travel history either with Italy or the Middle East. 

Amid the virus scare Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray today announced that gymnasiums, malls, theaters, swimming pools in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and Nagpur will be shut till further order.

CM Uddhav Thackeray has appealed to citizens should avoid unnecessary travel and prevent the spread of the virus. Also schools in Pune and Pimpri will be closed till further orders.
