At least 12 people were killed and several others were injured after a passenger bus rolled down a hill in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning, April 20. According to reports, the bus skidded off the road in the Ramnagar area.
After receiving the information, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh dial Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa. Dr Jitendra Singh stated that the accident took place in the village Kanote, when a public transport bus was travelling from Ramnagar to Udhampur.
"The rescue operation has been immediately undertaken. Heavy casualties are expected. All possible assistance is being provided," said Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh in a post on X.

Dr Jitendra Singh said that air ambulances have been deployed to airlift the seriously injured passengers. "I am in constant touch with the local administration as well as our local workers team led by Rajinder Sharma," he added.
