UP Horror: Man Beheads Ice-Cream Vendor, Walks Home With Severed Head
A shocking murder case has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district, where a 25-year-old ice-cream vendor was allegedly killed by a local resident following a heated argument on Saturday.
The incident occurred in Parsawal Village. The victim, identified as Bablu, regularly visited the village to sell ice cream. According to reports, he got into a verbal confrontation with a 50-year-old man, Shankar Yadav, during his routine visit.
Police said the dispute quickly escalated. In a sudden attack, the accused allegedly used a sickle to fatally assault Bablu in public. After committing the crime, the suspect reportedly took the victim’s severed head with him to his house in the same village.
Authorities were alerted soon after the incident, prompting a police response led by Arpit Vijayvargiya, the Superintendent of Police of Barabanki. A large police team reached the village, secured the area and searched the accused’s residence.
When officers entered the house, they found Shankar Yadav inside preparing food, while the victim’s severed head was reportedly lying nearby. Police immediately took him into custody, recovered the head and seized the suspected weapon used in the attack.
Bablu, the eldest of three brothers, earned a living through manual labour and by selling ice cream to support his family. He is survived by his wife and two young children, who are said to be devastated by the tragedy.
Police have sent the victim’s body for post-mortem examination and have begun a detailed investigation to determine the exact circumstances and motive behind the dispute that led to the killing.
