Uttar Pradesh: Bride Cancels Wedding After Guest Kicks Dog; Several Injured in Violent Clash

Uttar Pradesh: In unexpected turn of events bride called off wedding after one of the guest allegedly kicked the bride’s pet dog. This incident occurred in Fatehpur district, following which a violent clash erupted between the two families. In this clash several people got injured and later on bride refused to go ahead with wedding.

This incident took place on Wednesday late night  at Kanha Guest House in the Khaga police station area. Bride and groom were in relationship for two years and had already solemnised a marriage at an Arya Samaj temple in Kanpur last month. After completing all legal procedures wedding ceremony was fixed for February 18.

For the wedding, the bride's family arrived from Prayagraj. Following the varmala ceremony, as wedding rituals commenced, the bride's pet dog, tethered nearby, began barking. When a guest from the groom's side allegedly kicked the dog, the bride protested, sparking a heated dispute that escalated into a clash between the wedding party and the bride's family.

The scuffle resulted in head injuries for several people and a fractured finger for the bride. Police arrived and transported the injured to the hospital. The following morning, police summoned both parties for discussion. Despite police efforts to mediate, the bride insisted on calling off the wedding, resisting the groom's tearful pleas for reconsideration.
