In an tragic accident a speeding Bolero lost control and collided with a cyclist and overturned into a roadside ditch. This accident occurred on Friday April 24 and five people got injured. The three of them, whose condition was critical, have been referred to the District Hospital. On Friday, Amarjeet of Gayaspur was cycling to his job at BHEL when a Bolero, driven by Chand Babu of Khara and arriving from Raniganj, struck him.
The bicycle was destroyed, and the Bolero overturned. The vehicle occupants, including women and children, and Amarjeet were injured. Villagers helped transport everyone to the Community Health Center, where Amarjeet, Chand Babu, and Aisha of Khara were deemed critical and transferred to the District Hospital.
The other injured individuals Imran and Nazmeen were discharged and sent home after receiving first aid. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and took custody of the damaged Bolero and bicycle. Station House Officer (SHO) Vivek Verma stated that appropriate legal action would be initiated once a formal written complaint is received.
Chand Babu, a resident of Khara (Shivratanganj), had traveled to Dewa Sharif in Barabanki on Thursday with his family comprising five women and seven children aboard the Bolero for a pilgrimage. The accident occurred near Gayaspur village on Friday while they were returning from the shrine. Fortunately, a major tragedy was averted; otherwise, the overturning of the Bolero could have resulted in loss of life.
