Woman carries covid positive father-in-law to hospital on her back

Coronavirus has claimed many lives and destroyed families. Many people have lost their loved ones due to the unavailability of beds, oxygen, or medicine. The second wave of covid has created an atmosphere of fear everywhere. 

Amid the rising cases, in a heart-wrenching incident, a daughter-in-law carried her father-in-law on her back and reached the hospital. The woman is being showered with praise everywhere. The picture of the woman carrying her father-in-law on her back has gone viral on social media.

The woman identified as Niharika, while her father-in-law's name is Thuleshwar Das. Thuleshwar Das is 75 years old. Niharika's husband Suraj stays away from home for work. So, Niharika takes care of her father-in-law in her husband's absence. They are residents of Raha, Bhatigaon. Realizing that Thuleshwar Das had contracted covid, Niharika decided to take him on her back to the hospital for treatment without thinking much. Niharika has also tested covid positive.

When Niharika arrived at the hospital with her father-in-law, local health officials asked Thuleshwar Das to get admitted to the District Covid Center and advised Niharika to stay in home isolation. However, Niharika refused to keep her father-in-law alone in the hospital. After this, the doctors gave the necessary treatment and arranged for the two to be sent to Nagaon Bhogeshwari Fukanani Civil Hospital by ambulance.
