Airoli Tragedy: Bike Collides With JCB's Lowered Bucket, Two Dead
In an tragic accident, two youth lost life after speeding motorcycle rammed into the bucked of JCB machine that was crossing the road in Airoli. This incident occurred on Friday, March 13, 2026 near New Horizon School in Sector 14. Following the accident, case has been registered a against the JCB driver and taken him into custody.
Deceased identified as Digvijay Babasaheb Dinde (17), a resident of Airoli Sector 4, and Harshad Savardekar (18), a resident of Airoli Sector 8. As per the FPJ report, two youths were travelling on a Bajaj Avenger motorcycle from Airoli Sector 14 towards Sector 10 at around 10 am.
Hanumant Maruti Shinde (29) was attempting to cross the road on a JCB machine (MH-05 BQ 250) near New Horizon School when the incident occurred. Police reported that the JCB's front bucket was lowered as it crossed the road, and a motorcycle collided with it. The two riders sustained critical injuries from the severe impact and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were declared dead.
Senior Police Inspector Balakrishna Sabale of Rabale police station stated that the motorcycle collided with the lowered bucket of the JCB while it was crossing the road. The driver has been arrested, a case has been registered, and an investigation is underway. Police officers arrived at the scene, conducted a panchnama, and sent the bodies for post-mortem. The Rabale police are continuing the investigation.
