Navi Mumbai Water Cut: 24-Hour Supply Disruption From May 13; Check Affected Areas

A 24-hour water cut has been imposed by Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) from 10 am on Wednesday, May 13, to 10 am on Thursday, May 14, due to repair work at the city's main water distribution station. 

After the supply resumption on Thursday, NMMC said there will be low pressure in taps. The repair work undertaken by the civic body includes the installation of large-diameter valves at the CBD Belapur Sector-28 pumping house and the Bhokarpada Water Purification Centre, according to the Mid-Day report.

NMMC also perform essential pre-monsoon maintenance and critical electrical work at the pumping houses. Additionally, teams will connect the main pipeline near Bhokarpada MBR.

"Essential works on the main water pipeline, valve installation, pipeline connections, as well as pre-monsoon repair works will be undertaken, due to which the water supply will be disrupted for 24 hours in some areas of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation jurisdiction," NMMC in a post on X.

Affected Areas

Several areas face water burnt include in Navi Mumbai, including Belapur, Nerul, Vashi, Turbhe, Sanpada, Koparkhairane, Ghansoli, and Airoli. The disruption will also affect direct tap connections on the main water line and CIDCO nodes, including Kharghar and Kamothe.
