International archer-turned-coach Jayantilal Nanoma died in a road accident in Rajasthan on Sunday. Nanoma, 35, was first rushed in a critical condition to a Sagwara hospital then to Udaipur's Geetanjali hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 3:30 am on Monday. Jayantilal was accompained by his friend who is said to be in a stable condition.

Nanoma was an Asian Cup and Asian Grand Prix medallist in compound individual and team archery in 2010. He was employed as a District Sports Officer in Dungapur. He had worked as a coach with different Indian teams. He was a recipient of the prestigious Maharan Pratap State Sports Award. Archery Association of India (AAI) condoled Jayantilal's death. The 35-year old is survived by his wife and daughter.
