Telangana’s Jeevanji Deepthi clinched the gold in the 100m T20 category of the Asian Para Games 2023.The Asian Para Games 2023 is currently held in Hangzhou, the People’s Republic of China from October 22 to 28.India have sent 303 athletes - 191 men and 112 women - to the fourth edition of the Asian Para Games making it the country’s largest contingent to the continental event.
At the 2018 Asian Para Games, India had sent 190 athletes and returned with 72 medals, including 15 gold, for their best performance at the quadrennial event.At the Asian Para Games 2023, India have won 17 medals so far, including six gold, six silver and five bronze.
