Paris [France], September 1 : Indian para Table Tennis player Bhavinaben Patel has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Women's Singles WS4 category in the ongoing Paris Paralympics 2024.
She won her match in three straight sets (11-3, 11-6, 11-7) against Mexico's Martha Verdin on Sunday.
On the other hand, the other women's Table Tennis player Sonalben Patel fell short to qualify for the quarterfinals. She lost her match in the Round of 16 against Croatia's Andela Muzinic Vincetic 3-11, 12-10, 7-11,5, 11 in Women's Singles - WS3.
Earlier on August 30, Bhavina and Sonalben fell short of securing a medal as they were defeated in the Women's Doubles table tennis quarterfinal by Korea's Young A Jung and Sunghye Moon.The match ended with a scoreline of 5-11, 6-11, 11-9, 6-11.
