Amitabh Bachchan misses Rishi Kapoor as Ajooba turns 30, says saathi chale gaye

Amitabh Bachchan’s film Ajooba completes 30 years today and on the film’s anniversary, the actor is missing his friends Rishi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor, who were both part of the film in the capacity of an actor and director, respectively.

Shashi Kapoor’s brother Shammi Kapoor was also part of the film. Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020, after battling cancer for two years.

Ajooba, a superhero film, released on April 12, 1991. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Amrish Puri and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles. Sharing a picture of himself from the film, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “30 years of AJOOBA .. !!! Saal gujarte rahe ; .. sukh ki , kuch dukh ki .. saathi chale gaye , yaadein bhar reh gayin! (sic).”

Ajooba was co-directed by Shashi Kapoor and Gennadi Vasilyev. The film was loosely based on an Arabic folklore.
