Heavy rainfall in Mumbai leads to waterlogging in many areas

Traffic in the low-lying areas of Mumbai was disrupted due to normal rains. These included the Gandhi Market at Matunga and the Hindmata area at Dadar. In the rest of the places, although the amount of rain water storage is less.

The rains started hitting Mumbai from midnight on Thursday. The rain began to fall in the morning. The rain, which started at 8 in the morning, was still falling at 12 noon. This time the rain continued its intensity in the suburbs. Mumbai Police advised citizens not to venture out of their homes.
