ATM Card Insurance: You get free insurance of 5 lakhs on ATM; But how to claim?

Nowadays a person has more than one ATM card. On these ATM cards you get free accident insurance up to five lakhs. But, no one claims it. Banks also do not inform customers about this. But, this is the insurance you get in times of trouble.
Irrespective of the ATM card, you have an insurance coverage ranging from fifty thousand to five lakhs. Banks have certain rules for getting this insurance. There are rules such as doing transactions from that ATM card twice a month, having a nominee for the bank account.
Banks charge you ATM charges as well as their benefits. When the bank gives you an ATM card, it also provides ATM Card Accidental Insurance and Life Insurance. However, very few people claim it
If a person uses ATMs of any nationalized and non-nationalized bank for at least 45 days, he is eligible to claim the insurance that comes with the ATM card. Banks offer different types of ATM cards to customers. According to the category of ATM card.
Customers are offered an insurance cover of Rs 1 lakh on Classic Card, Rs 2 lakh on Platinum Card, Rs 50,000 on Normal Master Card and Rs 5 Lakh on Platinum Master Card. Insurance coverage up to Rs 1.5-02 lakh is available on Visa card.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, customers are given a RuPay card. Insurance is available from 01 to 02 lakh rupees.
If the ATM cardholder meets with an accident resulting in death or disability, he or his nominee can file a claim for insurance. He gets protection of Rs 50 thousand for disability. In case of loss of both hands or both legs, the insurance covers Rs.01 lakh.
Nominee of the cardholder has to apply to the concerned bank to claim the accident. Documents such as accident FIR copy, hospital treatment certificate etc. have to be submitted to the bank.
In case of death, the nominee of the cardholder has to submit death certificate, copy of FIR etc. After this the insurance amount is paid. Importantly, do not keep this information to yourself, give it to relatives, close friends, family members, so that no one gets caught
