The engine speed of 120 kmph: so far, 100 such powerful railway locomotives have been made in the country, and now 800 more engines will be made. For the first time in the world, only India has run this powerful rail engine, WAG 12B, on a broad gauge railway line.

The axle load can be increased up to 25 tonnes; the engines made in Madhepura are of twin bo-bo design. The axle load of this train engine is 22.5 tonnes, which can be increased up to 25 tonnes. This engine can carry goods at high altitudes. If there are any defects in the master loco, the power of the slave loco can be worked out.
