Lockdown 5.0: Centre prepares plan to fight Covid-19 from June 1 onwards

The fourth phase of the nationwide lockdown, which has been implemented to prevent the spread of the corona virus, will end on May 31. However, given the current situation in the country, the chances of a complete easing of the lockdown are slim.

Preparations for the fifth phase of the lockdown have begun. There has been no statement from the central government on Lockdown 5.0 yet.

The fifth phase of the lockdown is expected to focus on 11 cities across the country with the highest number of corona infections.

These cities include Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Thane, Indore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Surat and Kolkata.

It is difficult to re-open schools at present. Schools and colleges will be closed until June 15. Over time, state governments will decide to start schools in phases.

The Modi government has already partially started rail and domestic flights. Metro service may resume from June 1. But international flights are likely to remain closed.

In the fifth phase of the lockdown it is expected that religious places might get permission from the central government to open. But some rules may have to be followed.

Organizing fairs or festivals at religious places will not be allowed. Also, large crowds will not be allowed. It will also be mandatory to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing.

Permission will be granted to open salons and gyms in all departments during lockdown 5.0 but no such permission will be granted in the containment zone.

Mall multiplexes are also likely to be closed.

Some people may be allowed to attend weddings and funerals.
