Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle maker, has launched the all-new Ace EV – the electric version of the popular cargo vehicle.

Tata Motors will reveal the prices of the new Ace EV in the next quarter. Deliveries will also commence in the Q3, 2022.

Tata Motors has also signed an MoU with several e-commerce and logistic companies including Amazon, BigBasket, Flipkart and their logistics partners. Under this agreement, the Tata Ace EV will be employed in their respective fleets.

Tata Motors will deliver 39,000 units of the Ace EV to leading e-commerce companies and logistics service providers. The company will also set up dedicated Electric Vehicle Support Centres for maximum fleet uptime; deployment of Tata Fleet Edge – the optimal fleet management solution; and support of Tata UniEVerse, the enabling eco-system of relevant Tata Group companies.

The Tata Ace EV is the first product to feature Tata Motor’s EVOGEN powertrain that offers a certified range of 154 kilometers. The new model is claimed to offer a safe, all-weather operation with an advanced battery cooling system and regenerative braking system.

The vehicle supports regular and fast charging system for high uptime. It is powered by a 27kW (36bhp) motor with 130Nm of peak torque.

The Tata Ace EV is claimed to have cargo volume of 208 cubic feet or 3332.16 kilograms/cubic meters and grade-ability of 22% allowing easy ascent in fully loaded conditions.
