The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet on Saturday decided to implement recommendations of 15th Central Finance Commission in the state.

Under this, 70 per cent of the grants would be provided to the gram panchayats, 15 per cent to the panchayat samitis and the remaining to the zila parishads for undertaking development works.

In view of the lockdown, it was decided that the private schools would be allowed to charge tuition fee only.

The Cabinet, presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, decided to upgrade the veterinary hospital at Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra district and filing seven posts of categories to man the hospital.

It gave the nod to start a scheme for rehabilitation of stray cattle to solve its menace by encouraging individuals and organizations to adopt them, provide assistance for running cow sanctuaries and 'gau sadans' in the state.

In the initial phase, it was decided to provide Rs 500 per cow for cows in agaushalas' and cow sanctuaries.

The Cabinet decided to establish three fast-track special courts in Shimla, Rampur and Nahan towns to deal with the rape and POCSO cases for one year.

It decided to transfer land in favour of the Ministry of Defence for establishment of Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) polyclinic and CSD canteen at Dehra Gopipur in Kangra district free-of-cost to facilitate the ex-servicemen and Army personnel.
