SGPC, DSGMC to get rice, wheat at PDS rates

Union Food Processing Industries Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Monday said the Centre has allowed Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Delhi Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee to procure rice and wheat at the public distribution system (PDS) rates for serving the people hit by coronavirus.

Chandigarh, April 6 Union Food Processing Industries Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Monday said the Centre has allowed Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Delhi Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee to procure rice and wheat at the public distribution system (PDS) rates for serving the people hit by coronavirus.

"I thank PM Narendra Modi-ji for acknowledging the huge contribution of gurdwaras in serving the humanity during these times of crisis and also for conceding to my request of allowing the SGPC and DSGMC to get wheat and rice for langar at the PDS rates," she said in a tweet.
