TN CM announces Rs 10 lakh aid for deceased cop's kin

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami, here on Thursday, announced a solatium of Rs 10 lakh to the family of a cop who died of heart attack while on Covid-19 lockdown duty. He also announced a job to a member of the deceased cop's family based on their educational qualification.

He also announced a job to a member of the deceased cop's family based on their educational qualification.

Arun Gandhi, a traffic policeman,died of heart attack on Wednesday.

The Chief Minister said similar relief would be provided to the family of revenue department officials, conservancy staff and others, if they died during coronavirus relief or lockdown implementation duty.
