London, June 27 British Health Secretary Matt Hancock on Saturday resigned after admitting that he broke Covid-19 social distancing guidelines during alleged affair with his aide, which reportedly caused an outrage in the country.

Downing Street published Hancock's resignation letter to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the Xinhua news agency reported.
