Ajit Pawar Cremated With Full State Honours at Vidya Pratishthan Ground in Pune's Baramati
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was cremated at Vidya Pratishthan Ground in Pune's Baramati on Thursday, January 29. NCP chief's sons, Parth and Jay, light the funeral pyre after performing the last rites rituals of their father in the presence of a huge crowd of people chanting 'Ajit Dada amar rahe' (Long live Ajit Dada).

The cremation was attended by several political leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, his Deputy Eknath Shinde, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray and others. The mortal remains of him was draped inthe Tricolour before reaching the Vidya Pratishthan ground.
Earlier in the morning, the mortal remains of the NCP leader were kept at his native village, Kathewadi, for family respects before being moved for public viewing.

Pilot Sumit Kapur, who was killed in the plane crash along with Ajit Pawar and four others, will be cremated at the Punjabi Bagh cremation ground in Delhi. Kapur was a resident of Delhi's Rajouri Garden. His body will be taken from Mumbai to Delhi for the last rites.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Civil Aviation assured a full probe into the plane crash that claimed the life of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and four others. Investigative officials recovered the voice recorder and flight data recorder from the site on Wednesday.
Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut question the crash in Baramati and south an investigation into it. Speaking with media persons, he said, "Such a major accident occurred in Ahmedabad. What happened? An investigation was launched, but has anything come to light? So many chartered flight accidents have occurred, and so many people have died."

Raut said that the truth of the crash should be revealed to the public. He said the whole country in shock after a towering leader like Ajit Pawar died in the plane crash incident. "How did this happen? What technical fault was there? This should come to light. If there was a technical fault in the flight, a problem with the radar system, or something at the airport, then what? What will be achieved by sending condolences? If the accident occurred due to technical issues, we all need to identify the root causes," he added.
