According to Khaire’s complaint, the gang had started fighting inside the hotel. He asked them to move outside to prevent damage, but they hurled abuses and threatened to kill him. He was then attacked and beaten. After informing Bharti Vidyapeeth police, he was advised to go to Sassoon Hospital.
On the way, the gang members stopped him and questioned whether he had filed a case against them. They claimed no one could harm them. One of them threw a petrol-filled bottle at him and his friend. As they were soaked in fuel, another attacker lit a matchstick and threw it at them. They managed to escape, but the gang burned their vehicle.
Bharti Vidyapeeth police officials visited the crime scene. Inspector Khillare stated that an investigation is underway and the accused will be arrested soon. Khaire alleged that some of the attackers have serious criminal records and demanded strict action against them. He also appealed to the police commissioner to take stringent measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
