Pune Crime: 45-Year-Old Killed with Sickle by Nephew Over Land Row

Pune: A 45-year-old man killed by nephew with sickle over the land dispute in Jadhavwadi in Maval. This incident occurred around 11:00pm on Sunday April 26 and deceased identified as Ravindra Ramakant Jadhav. Following the incident a case has been registered against Vishal Sukhdev Jadhav and three of his accomplices.

According to Senior Police Inspector Santosh Patil, the Jadhav family owns a plot of land measuring one acre and nine gunthas in Jadhavwadi. A dispute had arisen between them regarding the partition of this land. Meanwhile, an MSRDC pipeline was laid through their farmland, for which they received compensation amounting to five lakh rupees.

For the past few days, a dispute had also been brewing between them regarding the distribution of this money. Ravindra Jadhav died on Sunday after his nephew, Vishal, attacked him with a sickle during an altercation. The severity of the injuries led to his death.
