Pune Crime: Elderly Man Dies After Daughter Allegedly Attacks Him With Kitchen Knife

Pune: A 40-year-old woman allegedly murdered her 70-year-old father by stabbing him in the chest with a knife over persistent harassment while intoxicated. The deceased has been identified as Jainuddin Dastgir Phulari. In connection with this case, the Khadak Police have arrested Dilshad Jainuddin Phulari. The incident took place inside their residence around 11:00 PM on Sunday May 17.

According to information provided by the police, Jainuddin, his wife, and their daughter, Dilshad Phulari, lived together. Their sons reside separately. Jainuddin Phulari returned home in an intoxicated state and began verbally abusing Dilshad. This led to a heated altercation between the two. In a fit of rage, Dilshad grabbed a sharp knife—typically used for cutting onions and kept on the kitchen counter—and stabbed her father in the chest. He collapsed on the spot. However he was rushed to the hospital immediately, he succumbed to his injuries due to excessive blood loss before arrival.

The police have registered a case of murder and have arrested Dilshad Phulari. Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Kuldeep Vhatkar is conducting further investigations into this matter.
