Pune Gas Shortage: Collector Warns Strict Action Against Hoarding and Black Marketing
Pune: Amid war like situation, their has been shortage of domestic gas in the city and district administration has started taking steps against hoarding and black marketing. Raids have been started on agencies and distributors involved in hoarding and black marketing. For this, three teams have been appointed in the city and Pimpri and one team in each taluka in the rural areas.
Meanwhile, District Collector Jitendra Today informed that separate vigilance teams have been appointed at the district level and the city level. He has also warned of strict action against those involved in hoarding and black marketing.
Hotel and restaurant operators have started feeling the shortage of commercial gas. As a result, complaints have increased that these hotels are using domestic gas. Due to this, domestic gas users are having trouble booking. Complaints of hoarding and black marketing have been received by the district administration in many places. As a solution to this, the district administration has now started taking strict steps. District Collector Jitendra Dudi has directed to take strict action against gas supply in the district, hoarding and black marketing in this regard.
Raids have commenced in Pune city, Pimpri, and the district. Three teams each have been formed in the city and Pimpri, each consisting of three divisional officers and two supply inspectors. In rural areas, a team led by the Tehsildar, including supply inspection officers, police inspectors, and regional company officers, has been appointed. District Collector Jitendra Dudi has instructed these teams to conduct surprise inspections and raids based on received complaints to prevent the illegal use of domestic gas, and to submit detailed reports to the district administration.

Dudi stated that immediate action will be taken against any such incidents found in the city and district, and urged citizens not to believe rumors, assuring them that the administration is taking appropriate measures.
