Pune Horror: Youth Brutally Assaulted by Group of Men in Kondhwa, Accused Arrested

Pune: A 20-year-old man assaulted by group of men in Kondhwa area of Pune. This incident occurred while victim was sitting in an auto-rickshaw with a friend. He was playing game and suddenly a group oof men arrived with wodden stick and sharp weapons. This incident occurred on early Tuesday around 12:15 am. 

According to Loksatta reports, due to old personal dispute group of men started abusing and beating victim severely. His friend was also assaulted. Deceased identified as Avinath Dixit was injured in thiss incident. The attackers didn’t stop there and they smashed nearby vehicles and threatened locals, creating panic in the area.

Police quickly reached the spot and arrested 6 accused, while a few others are still on the run. The victim survived but was injured, and the case has been registered as attempted murder.

Earlier, a group of six to seven individuals creating a ruckus and spreading terror over an old dispute occurred at Shravandhara Society in Kothrud. The accused barged into a young man's home, vandalized household items using weapons, and brutally assaulted both the family members and their neighbors. In connection with this case, the Kothrud police have registered a FIR against seven individuals and have subsequently arrested them.

The individuals against whom the case has been registered and who have since been arrested are identified as Tejas Kamble , Ajay Mahajan , Neeraj Satpute , Nadeem Shaikh, Abhijit Ovhal , Sunny Sankya, and Abhi Ghare . A formal complaint regarding this matter was lodged by Rahul Subhash Gaikwad.
