A man was brutally beaten by alleged finance recovery agents for not paying credit card dues in Pune's Hadapsar. According to the information, a heated exchange between the victim and agents turned into a fight in broad daylight on Hadapsar Road near 15 Number Chowk.

The argument began over the recovery of credit card dues. The argument turned into a physical altercation and both recovery agencies were seen assaulting a man in the middle of the road. A video shared on social media shows men punching and kicking another man on the ground, while a woman with him pleads with them to spare him and stop hitting him.

This incident has once again raised serious questions about the conduct of private recovery agents appointed by banks. According to Reserve Bank of India rules, it is illegal to threaten or publicly humiliate any customer during recovery proceedings.

Agents are often accused of using pressure and, at times, violence to recover dues, the consequences of which were seen in Hadapsar. Police rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the incident. At present, both parties are being questioned and further investigation is underway.
