Pune: Man Dies After Being Run Down by Car in Uruli Kanchan; Police Arrest Two

Pune : A shocking incident of crime has came to light were accused allegedly killed young man by car after having fight.  Incident occurred on Sunday March 2 at around 3:30 pm at Sathe Vasti in Bhawarapur limits. The police have taken two people into custody in this case and the arrest process is underway. A case of murder has been registered at Uruli Kanchan police station in this regard.

The deceased has been identified as Mahesh Laxman Sathe (32), a resident of Bhawarapur, Tal. Haveli. According to a complaint filed by Laxman Sopan Sathe (58), Akshay Dashrath Sathe (32, resident of Bhawarapur) and Gokul Nana Kokare (23, resident of Ashtapur) allegedly colluded to commit the crime.

The incident stemmed from an old dispute between Akshay Sathe, Abhishek Sathe, and the deceased regarding land group no. 104 and a motor repair on the river. In a fit of anger, the accused intentionally struck Mahesh Sathe's two-wheeler from behind with a car, resulting in his death at the scene.

The police informed that a case had been registered against Akshay Sathe, the main accused in this case, at Loni Kalbhor Police Station in 2019 regarding a vehicle accident. It was said that the other accused, Gokul Kokare, had no previous history. The crime is being investigated by Police Sub-Inspector Praveen Kamble, and further investigation is underway. This incident has created an atmosphere of tension in the Bhawarapur area.
