A serious incident of assault and armed robbery has come to light in Kondhwa, where a 27-year-old man was lured under the pretext of a hookup through a gay dating app and then attacked. The accused reportedly forced him to hand over valuables worth ₹80,300. The victim, a resident of the Wagholi area, received a message on his mobile from an ID named “Im Top,” which included a phone number. Curious, he called the number, and the two exchanged basic details. The accused introduced himself as “Raheel” and then invited the victim to meet near the Sheetal Petrol Pump in Kondhwa.
When the victim arrived at the meeting spot, he was shocked to find that Raheel was not alone but accompanied by three others. Speaking in a friendly manner, the accused persuaded the victim to go with them to a secluded field near Pansare Nagar and Bharati Vedant International School. Once they reached the isolated location, Raheel and his accomplices attacked the victim. Brandishing a weapon, they forcibly took his mobile phone, gold and silver jewelry, cash, and even withdrew money from his ATM before fleeing the scene.
