Pune Shock: Father Abducts Married Daughter to Force Second Marriage, 7 Arrested

Pune: In an unexpected turn of events, a shocking incident of crime has came to light where a married woman was abducted by her own father with the  assistance of accomplices. Police acted swiftly in this matter, police has arrested seven accused individuals within a mere four hours. The incident occurred on May 4, 2026, night at approximately 9:00 PM.

While Mrs. Sakshi Vishal Bhagwat was in the company of her in-laws, she was intercepted by her father and six other individuals. The accused subjected her to physical assault, verbal abuse, and intimidation before forcibly bundling her into a vehicle and abducting her. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the motive behind this abduction was to force the victim into a second marriage against her will.

Upon receiving information regarding the incident, an investigative team operating under the guidance of Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Kandge of the Pargaon Karkhana Police Station immediately swung into action. Conducting search operations across various locations, the police successfully apprehended all the accused individuals within just four hours.

In connection with this case, the following individuals have been arrested and booked: Shivaji Bhau Khatekar, Amol Changdev Rode, Sachin Raosaheb Rode , Akshay Vishwanath Wadge, Abhijit Barku Rode, and Nandkishor Vilas Titar  all residents of Nandur Khandarmal, Taluka Sangamner, District Ahmednagar; as well as Jayshree Ashok Kudnar.
