A lover was caught by his girlfriend's family members after he was found hidden in an iron trunk at her home, when the family suddenly returned home. The incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur district, and a video of the same is now going viral.
The incident is said to have occurred on Friday afternoon (January 23) after the woman’s family had left for work. Taking advantage of the empty house, the woman invited her boyfriend over. However, a vigilant aunt living in an adjacent building grew suspicious after hearing unusual noises and witnessing a man enter the premises.
When the aunt arrived at the door, the woman panicked and instructed her boyfriend to climb into a large iron storage trunk. She then locked the box and calmly answered the door. Unconvinced by the woman's explanation, the aunt locked the main gate of the property and summoned the woman’s mother and brother to conduct a thorough search.
The man, who lives just seven houses away from the woman, remained trapped in the airtight container for 45 minutes before police detained him after the family discovered him in a trunk.

For nearly 45 minutes, the family searched through the house, searching cupboards, rooftops, and under beds without success. The situation changed when a frantic thumping sound began emanating from the metal trunk—the man’s desperate attempt to signal for air as he began to suffocate.
The woman initially refused to hand over the keys, claiming the trunk only contained her personal clothing. Concerned by the persistent noise, the family called the local police. Upon their arrival, the woman eventually opened the box, revealing her boyfriend, who was drenched in sweat and gasping for air. The man was taken into custody.
