Ola Electric has created a record of sorts by receiving over 1 lakh reservations for its first ever electric scooter in less than 24 hours since pre-bookings opened. Interested customers can log on to the company website and book the scooter for ₹ 499. The booking amount is fully refundable. "India’s EV revolution is off to an explosive start. Huge thanks to the 100,000+ revolutionaries who’ve joined us and reserved their scooter," Bhavish Aggarwal said on Twitter. “I am thrilled by the tremendous response from customers across India for our first electric vehicle. The unprecedented demand is a clear indicator of shifting consumer preferences to EVs," Bhavish Aggarwal said in a statement.

This is only the beginning! "The new Ola electric scooter is likely to go on sale in the country later this month. The Ola Electric scooter will get a powerful motor paired with a lithium-ion battery. The company is claiming class-leading acceleration and superior range for the e-scooter. Its largest-in-class boot has enough space for two helmets. In terms of features, the e-scooter gets an LED lighting setup, fully digital instrument panel, front disc brake and alloy wheels, among others. The Ola Electric scooter launch will soon take place in India. The Ola Electric scooter price is expected to be close to Rs 1 lakh (on-road, after all the subsidies). Once introduced, it will rival the likes of the Bajaj Chetak, Ather 450X and TVS iQube Electric.
