Reliance Jio is planning to launch budget friendly laptops under the price of 15,000. The device is speculated to have an embedded 4G sim card. Mukesh Ambani led-company has partnered with global giants Microsoft and Qualcomm to bring the laptop, to be known as JioBook.

According to report by Reuters, it will be available to customers such as schools and government institutes from this month while a consumer launch is anticipated within the next three months.

The report further suggested that Reliance Jio plans on conducting a consumer launch within the next three months. As with the JioPhone, a 5G-enabled version will follow. "This will be as big as JioPhone," one of the sources with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

The report, which quoted two different sources, said that the upcoming budget laptops by Reliance Jio will be produced in India itself by Flex. The company aims to sell hundreds of thousands of phones by March next year.

The upcoming laptop will reportedly run on Jio's own JioOS operating system and give users the option to download apps from the JioStore.
