Sony Playstation 5 launch date officially announced, pre-orders to begin from January 12

The PlayStation 5 (PS5) India launch date has been revealed by Sony India on their official Twitter handle. The company took to Twitter to announce that the PS5 India launch date is February 2nd, while pre-orders will begin on January 12th. Retail partners taking pre-orders of the eagerly awaited console include Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Games The Shop, Shop at Sony Center, Vijay Sales, and a few other select retailers. In a statement given via Twitter, Sony' PlayStation India acc mentioned that “We take this opportunity to once more thank our PlayStation enthusiasts for their patience and enthusiasm around PS5.”

Sony India has already announced the prices of the console. The new console will set you back by  ₹49,990 for the disk edition and by  ₹39,990 for the digital edition. Along with this, the prices of the PS5 accessories are out as well. The DualSense Wireless Controller will cost you  ₹5,990, the HD camera comes for a  ₹5,190, the Pulse 3D Wireless Headset is for  ₹8,590, the media remote is for  ₹2,590 and the DualSense Charging Station is for  ₹2,590. As far as warranty details are concerned for the official units, The Mako Reactor reported that the official PS5 units for India will be covered under warranty for a period of 12 months. This means that you will be entitled to a replacement unit, not a repair, in case anything goes with your unit until one year after purchase. However, the accessories and DualSense controllers will not have any warranty or after-sales support, as pointed out in the report.
