Thane: Ajit Dada Remembered in Ulhasnagar with All-Party Tributes; Emotional Moments Mark Condolence Meet

Following the demise of Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) leader Ajit Pawar, grief is being expressed across the state. In this backdrop, leaders from all political parties gathered to pay heartfelt tributes to Dada at a condolence meeting held at Sindhubhavan Hall in Ulhasnagar. Setting aside political differences, the leaders present shared memories of Dada and spoke about his style of working and his personality.

The condolence meeting was organised on Saturday at Sindhubhavan Hall, Sapna Garden, Camp No. 3, Ulhasnagar, by Bharat Gangotri, district president of the NCP Ajit Pawar faction. Several leaders expressed their emotions and recalled their association with Dada. Leaders from BJP, Congress, Shiv Sena and MNS attended the meeting.

Mayor Ashwini Nikam shared an emotional memory, saying that when she was in Class 10 and had passed with good marks, she was personally presented a bicycle by Dada in Pimpri-Chinchwad. While recalling Dada’s work, NCP district president Bharat Gangotri became overwhelmed with emotion and broke down in tears during the meeting. MLA Kumar Ailani and former MLA Pappu Kalani also paid tribute, praising Ajit Pawar’s administrative skills and his straightforward nature.

Those present at the meeting included MLA Kumar Ailani, former MLA Pappu Kalani, Mayor Ashwini Nikam, Rohit Salve (district president, Congress), Rajesh Vadhariya (district president, BJP), Bandu Deshmukh (district president, MNS), along with Pradeep Ramchandani and other corporators.
