Aurangabad, April 20:The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 73 persons as Covid-19 positives during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.55 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEsThe AMC has tested visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) today. The health teams tested 193 persons and found five infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 176 and detected 26 at Harsul T Point PoE, tested 235 and found 14 Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 480 and detected four at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 244 and detected two at Daulatabad T-Point PoE, and four were detected by testing 344 at Jhalta Phata PoE.Five Coronavirus infected found in government officesThe testing of visitors was held at six government offices. The team has detected one Covid-19 patient each by conducting antigen tests of visitors at the police commissioner's office, the High Court, the divisional commissioner's office, the AMC headquarter and the district collectorate. The testing was not done at the RTO office.Nine passengers detected as Covid-19 patientsFive air and four train passengers, who had arrived in the city on Tuesday, have been reported as Covid-19 positives today. As reported earlier, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health teams had conducted RT-PCR tests on 62 passengers arriving at the railway station by trains and 49 passengers arriving at Chikalthana airport by planes on April 19. The AMC received the RT-PCR reports of these passengers today. Meanwhile, the AMC health teams have conducted RT-PCR tests of 54 train passengers arriving at the railway station and 25 tests on air passengers at theChikalthana airport today (on April 20). The administration will receive their reports by tomorrow.Four Covid-19 spreaders detected on roadsThe 12 mobile teams (comprising AMC health and police personnel) have conducted antigen tests of 279 persons founding moving on the roads, in the jurisdiction of 15 police stations, and detected four Covid-19 patients on Tuesday. The testing is done in two shifts (from 9 am to 5 pm and 5 pm to 1 am) and there are six teams in each shift.
