Aurangabad, Oct 30:

Goodyear Tires along with Society for Welfare and Empowerment New Delhi and Prerna Trust organized a four day free artificial limbs distribution camp in the city. In all, 115 people have been benefitted by the camp.

The camp was inaugurated by the commissioner of police Dr Nikhil Gupta on October 26. After examining 201 persons with disabilities in Marathwada, 160 people were selected for fitting artificial limbs. MLA Atul Save, who was present on the occasion, said that the initiative was laudable. He also assured cooperation for organising such camps in future. Speaking on the occasion, district social welfare officer Shivraj Kendre said that all possible help would be given to start a new vocational course at Prerna Trust for the disabled using government schemes and available funds. Anil Save, the working president of the organization, announced a technical course for the disabled and free hearing aid and medical camp for the deaf. Society president, Arun Kumar Kulshreshtha, acting secretary Premraj Patil, Rajendra Rathod, Atharva Gondawale took efforts.
