Corona vaccination is getting a good response from senior citizens above 60 years of age in the city. On Wednesday, 1,150 senior citizens were vaccinated. In addition, 190 people suffering from other ailments were also vaccinated.
A total of 2,215 people have been vaccinated in three days. Also, 511 people between the ages of 45 and 59 suffering from other diseases were also vaccinated. In addition, 12,240 health workers received the first dose of the corona vaccine and 4,302 people have taken the second dose of the vaccine. In all, 5073 landline workers have taken the first dose so far. A corona vaccination centre has been set up at Dande Hospital near Cidco bus stand. Citizens of Mukundwadi, Ramnagar, Vitthalnagar areas will be vaccinated free of cost by the municipal corporation at this center said municipal health officer Dr Nita Padalkar.
