Cidco Police arrested founder chairman of an education society and his son for allegedly cheating a woman at Rs 22 lakh on the pretext of giving permanent job in their school.According to details, the lady teacher Manisha Janardhan Kulkarni (35, Navjeevan Colony, Hudco) met the then commissioner of police Chiranjeev Prasad and shared her a tale of woes. The CP had directed Cidco Police to register a complaint against the chairman of education trust Janardhan Mhaske and his son Rahul Mhaske. In her complaint, Manisha Kulkarni had stated that Janardhan Mhaske and his son Rahul Mhaske, his daughter Mangal Ratan Wagh and son-in-law sought Rs 22 lakh from her for giving her permanent teacher’s job on 100 per cent grant post.Mangal is a teacher and Janardhan is in the same school. The complainant paid Rs 15 lakh as the first installment and society chairman gave her appointment letter and got joined her on duty. He also assured her of providing a letter of job confirmation in four to five months.She demanded a permanent approval letter from the education society chairman, but, did not get it.When she sought permanent approval on December 5, 2019, the society chairman informed that she would not get a permanent appointment. He also abused her. She demanded to return the money.The society chairman forced her to leave the school and threatened her of dire consequences if she demands money again.She moved the court which rejected the anticipatory bail of all the four accused. Police shielded the accused.She started an agitation in front of CP on February 17, 2020.Taking notice of her agitation, the CP had directed police to arrest the accused. Finally, Cidco police arrested Janardhan and Rahul Mhaske on Sunday.

The complainant paid money in several installments.She borrowed money from her relatives and paid Rs 15 lakh on June 5, 2015, later Rs 6.50 lakh and Rs 5 lakh on December 17, 2016 through cheque, Rs 1.50 lakh on April 10, 2018.
