Aurangabad, Oct 14:
Cidco MIDC police arrested two bootleggers at Chamchamnagar in Naregaon on Wednesday for transporting illicit liquor and soda in an auto-rickshaw secretly. The arrested have been identified as Lahu Bulab Imle (32) and Vibhishan Harishchandra Patil (40, both Naregaon).
MIDC police station’s PI, Vitthal Pote, while patrolling, received the information that illicit liquor is being smuggled at Chamchamnagar, Naregaon. Later, PSI, Vijay Purnapatre, Munir Pathan, Shahed Shaikh, Deepak Shinde, Nitesh Sundarde and others laid a trap and stopped the rickshaw. They found six boxes of country liquor worth Rs 15,000 in the rickshaw. The police arrested two persons and seized liquor and auto-rickshaw.
