Aurangabad, March 12:

More and more people are taking Corona vaccines now as the Corona impact has increased considerably compared to last year. Still, the people who have taken vaccines are found Corona positive. In all, 21 persons who had taken the vaccines were infected by the CoronaVirus, informed the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) medical officer, Dr Megha Jogdand.

The government has directed the administration to adopt measures to prevent the spread of Corona. Accordingly, the health employees, doctors, frontline workers, senior citizens, and patients are being vaccinated. Since January 16, 46,000 persons have been vaccinated in the district. It was expected that the severity of the Corona situation will be reduced after vaccination. But, it is found that the persons who have been vaccinated are also getting infected.

Dr Jogdand said, persons who have been administered the first dose of the vaccine have to take second dose after 28 days. Later, the immunity starts developing after 14 days after taking both doses. The vaccinated persons will get 70 percent immunity after these doses. Hence, everyone must take vaccines. Even if these persons are infected, there will be no danger to their lives, and will have only mild symptoms. It will help reduce the mortality rated, Dr Jogdande said.
