Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: During the Zilla Parishad (ZP) and Panchayat Samiti (PS) elections, District Collector Dilip Swami s immediately suspended three employees at the Zilla Parishad Central School polling station in Pachod Budruk.
This action was taken after the MLA of the Shinde faction from the constituency, Vilas Bhumre, along with his son (minor), were allowed entry into the polling station, and the voting ink was applied to the child's finger.
Those suspended are Dilip Deorao Narwade (Centre Head, Assistant Teacher, Sant Eknath High School, Chitegaon, Paithan), Sangeeta Namdev Kedar ( Polling Officer, Assistant Teacher, Zilla Parishad Primary School, Kalyannagar, Pachod, Paithan ) and Renuka Suresh Bomble (Home Guard, Paithan team, Pachod Police Station).
This action was taken due to irresponsibility and negligence observed in the highly sensitive work of the election process. Since allowing a minor child into the polling booth on election day violated the secrecy of voting, they have been temporarily suspended from service under various sections of the State Civil Services Discipline Rules.
The Election Returning Officer (Paithan) has been ordered to investigate the matter and submit a report. Instructions regarding subsistence allowance during the suspension period have been given to the concerned authorities.
