Aurangabad, Jan 7:

The Kranti Chowk police on Thursday evening arrested three women who taking advantage of the crowd used to snatch chain and pick pocket in the crowd at the Central Bus Stand. The police have seized gold ornaments from them. The arrested have been identified as Ravina Ganesh alias Pappu Kale, Kushivarta Vikram Bhosale and Sonali Pawan Pawar (all residents of Varde, Arangaon Road, Ahmednagar). A case has been registered against them at the Kranti Chowk police station.

The suspect women taking advantage of the crowd at the Bus Stand snatched chain of Kiran Gayake while she was going in the bus. Gayake immediately informed about it to the police. Head Constable of the police chowki, Chandrakant Pote with the help of the passengers searched these women chain-snatchers as they were trying to flee away in the bus. It was found that these women have snatched chains of Sonali Kiran Gayake (21, Kasliwal Tarangan Housing Society, Padegaon) and Usha Kailas Patil (60, N-9, M-2-12/4, Cidco). The police have seized the ornaments from the suspects.
